Highlights of RRB JE CBT-1 2019 Exam
The paper was conducted Online across different cities, and different papers were set for different zones.
All the questions were compulsory and were in Objective Type MCQ Format.
Each question was worth one mark.
English is the default language. If the candidate wishes to choose any other language, then the same can be selected from the drop-down list of languages. The languages listed are Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odiya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. There was a negative marking of 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer. The normalized score of the 1st stage exam (CBT-1) shall be used only to shortlist candidates for the 2nd stage exam (CBT-2) as per their merit. Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories:
UR -40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST -25%. These percentage marks for eligibility may be reduced by 2% for PwBD candidates in case of a shortage of PwBD candidates against vacancies reserved for them. Carrying an Admit Card with an affixed Photograph, Original ID proof, and a photocopy is compulsory. Candidates are also required to bring one ballpoint pen. Candidates were given rough paper and pen by the examination center only. Candidates were prohibited from leaving the examination hall/room before the test was concluded.
